Scope and Contents
The collection of prints provides a varied survey of modern printmaking in Holland during three decades. While some artists are represented with one work only, others are present with a small group of works. Artists that were especially favoured by the collector are Dick Cassée, Paul Damsté, Ko Oosterkerk, Ton van Os and Guillaume Le Roy. Abstract
Bequest of a small collection of drawings and prints, gathered by J.F.G. (Frans) Boom (1920-1953). The drawings and prints originate from various European schools and date from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. The collection is remarkable for its large number of early surrealist drawings by Eugene Brands.
