A legal miscellany. Contains 1: 5th flyleaf verso-f.73a: Kānūn-nāme-i cedīd, a copy of the general law code, consisting of fatwas issued by a number of şeyhulislams in the 16th and 17th centuries and compiled at the order of sultan Süleyman the Magnificent. 2: f.73b-86b: Maʿrūzāt, a copy of a collection of fatwas issued by Ebüssuʿūd Meḥmed b. Meḥmed el-ʿImādī (1490-1574). Marginal additions, often extensive. 3: f.87a-90a: an appendix containing a series of fatwas by seyhulislam Yaḥyā Efendi (1553?-1644). 4: f.90a-b: A series of comparisons in Arabic, headed Tarǧīḥ al-bayān. 5: f.90b-91a: Mesāʾil ül-müşkilāt, a brief treatise on the seven cases that make an oath invalid., 1233/[1817-1818]

Scope and Contents
The Anhegger collection consists of 1) six Oriental manuscripts, mostly textbooks and collections of jurisprudence; 2) his private papers, reflecting his activities as a scholar and as director of German cultural centres in foreign countries; and 3) printed books on varied subjects, among which c. 35 Karamanlidika imprints.
