A collection of texts copied by one scribe. Contains: 1: 6th original flyleaf-f.283a: Fetāvā-yi ʿAlī Efendi, a popular collection of legal rulings by the şeyhulislam ʿAlī Efendi of Çatalca (d. 1103/[1691]). The text is accompanied in the margins by a large number of additional texts in the same hand, mostly fatwas in Arabic and Turkish, taken from a number of explicitly mentioned works. Two separate leaves with Arabic texts are found between f.154b-155a and 216b-217a. The first text is preceded by a detailed 9-page survey of the contents in a different hand. 2: f.283a-284a: a series of fatwas. 3: f.284a-288a: Ḥikāyet-i ḳāzi maʿa s-sārıḳ. a copy of the story of the kadi and the learned thief by an anonymous author. 4: f.288a-b: a quotation in Arabic from a work entitled Ǧāmiʿ al-fatāwā., Completed on 1 Cemāzīlāhir 1149/[7 October 1736]

The Anhegger collection consists of 1) six Oriental manuscripts, mostly textbooks and collections of jurisprudence; 2) his private papers, reflecting his activities as a scholar and as director of German cultural centres in foreign countries; and 3) printed books on varied subjects, among which c. 35 Karamanlidika imprints.
