Asrār al-aḵbār ʿalā Iẓhār iʿrāb al-asrār, by Zaynīzāda Ḥusayn b. Aḥmad (1739 fl.). A commentary on Iẓhār al-asrār, a work on grammar by Birgili Meḥmed Efendi (1522-1573). No copyist mentioned. Inserted in the MS is a bifolium with (the beginning of) a text entitled Risāla-i ṭarīqat, ascribed to Muḥyī al-Dīn Ibn ʿArabī (1165-1240), with a genealogical list of Shi'i imams., 1197/[1782]
Scope and Contents
The Anhegger collection consists of 1) six Oriental manuscripts, mostly textbooks and collections of jurisprudence; 2) his private papers, reflecting his activities as a scholar and as director of German cultural centres in foreign countries; and 3) printed books on varied subjects, among which c. 35 Karamanlidika imprints.

Physical Description
Arabic MS on paper, .. f. ; 21x14 cm + Small ta'lik script, 19 lines, with overlining and frames in red. On the opening page a simple headpiece decorated with floral motifs in red, blue and gold. Full leather binding with the remnants of a flap, with blind tooling along the margin and an almond-shaped central medallion in red and gold. On the front cover a turban-shaped paste-on with the title Maʿānī-yi Iẓhār.
