De collectie van ca. 200 kaartbladen heeft vrijwel uitsluitend betrekking op het Caraïbisch gebied en de Nederlandse Antillen. De collectie is verzameld door bioloog H.E. Coomans en zijn tweede echtgenote M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, bibliothecaris van de Universiteit van de Nederlandse Antillen.

The collection of ca. 200 map sheets is almost exclusively concerned with the Caribbean and the Netherlands Antilles. The collection is gathered by biologist H.E. Coomans and his second wife M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, librarian of the University of the Netherlands Antilles.

The archive of W.H. de Greve (1866-1925) contains notarial deeds, annual reports, financial documents and correspondence concerning oil extraction in Boela on Ceram, in particular the companies involved, N.V. Ceram Petroleum-Maatschappij and The Ceram Oil Syndicate, Ltd.

Het archief Jean Jacques Dozy (1909-2004) betreft zijn werkzaamheden als foto-geoloog tijdens de Carstensz-expeditie in opdracht van de Nederlandsch Nieuw-Guinee Petroleum Maatschappij te Babo.

The archive of Jean Jacques Dozy (1909-2004) relates his work as photogeologist during the Carstensz Expedition, commissioned by the Netherlands New Guinea Petroleum Company at Babo.

Zwart-wit foto’s genomen door de Nederlandse kunsthistoricus en semi-professionele fotograaf Gerard Foekema (1943-), verzameld door het vroegere Instituut voor Zuid-Aziatische Archeologie (Universiteit van Amsterdam) in de periode 1979-1988 en door het Instituut Kern (Universiteit Leiden) tussen 1979 en 1990. Het betreft foto’s van monumenten en sites, stadsgezichten en landschappen genomen in India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh) en Myanmar. Hierbij domineren de architectuuropnamen, in het bijzonder van de Hindu tempels in Karnataka (Zuid-West India).

Black and white photographs taken by the Dutch art historian and semi-professional photographer Gerard Foekema (1943-), collection gathered by the Institute for South-Asian Archaeology (University of Amsterdam) in the years 1979-1988, and by the Kern Institute (Leiden University) between 1979 and 1990. The prints depict monuments and sites, townscapes and landscapes photographed in India (Tamil-Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh) and Myanmar. The main topic is architecture, especially the Hindu temples of Karnataka (South West India).

Collectie van gedrukte boeken, foto’s en archivalia van A.P.H. Hotz (1855-1930), Nederlands zakenman in Iran, later consul in Beiroet. Naast een gemiddelde collectie op het gebied van de Westerse literatuur bevat de collectie voornamelijk gedrukte werken op het gebied van de Midden-Oostenstudies met de nadruk op reisliteratuur, geschiedenis en geografie. Het fotografisch materiaal betreft voornamelijk Iran. De collectie werd in 1935 geschonken door Hotz’ weduwe, Lucy Helen Woods.

Collection of printed books, photographs and archival materials of A.P.H. Hotz (1855-1930), Dutch businessman in Iran, afterwards consul in Beirut. Apart from an average collection of Western literature, the collection comprises mainly printed books on Middle East studies with an emphasis on travel literature, history and geography. The photographic material is predominantly from Iran. The collection was donated in 1935 by Hotz's widow Lucy Helen Woods.

Deze collectie bevat rapporten verzameld door F.J. Ormeling (1912-2002) als Hoofd van het Geografisch Instituut van de Topografische Dienst te Batavia: transmigratie naar Zuid-Sumatra, Boeginezen en Toradjas, Indonesische vissers in Australische wateren, verschillende stukken over Timor etc.

This collection contains the reports collected by F.J. Ormeling (1912-2002) as Head of the Geographical Institute of the Topographical Service at Batavia: transmigration to South Sumatra, Buginese and Torajans, Indonesian fishermen in Australian waters, various pieces about Timor etc.

Zwart-wit foto’s genomen door de Amerikaanse fotografe Josephine Powell (1919-2007), verzameld door het vroegere Instituut voor Zuid-Aziatische Archeologie (Amsterdam), in de periode 1959-1988. Het betreft foto’s van monumenten, sites, museumobjecten, ethnografica en landschappen genomen tussen 1956-1975 in Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India (Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, Gangesgebied, Kashmir, Orissa), Bangladesh, Nepal en Thailand. Hierbij domineren de architectuurfoto’s.

Photographs depict monuments and sites, museum objects, ethnographical objects and landscapes taken between 1956-1975 in Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India (Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, the Ganges area, Kashmir, Orissa), Bangladesh, Nepal and Thailand. Architecture is the main topic.

Papers of Caspar George Carl Reinwardt (1773-1854), professor of chemistry, botany and biology at the universities of Harderwijk, Amsterdam and Leiden, and director of the Department of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences in the Dutch East Indies, containing official and personal papers (among which an album amicorum and diplomas), correspondence, scholarly and lecture notes, reports, travel diaries to and in the Indonesian archipelago pertaining to natural history and natural sciences, agriculture, education, colonial administration and ethnology.

De kaartcollectie van het Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde (KITLV) omvat ca. 16.000 kaartbladen en ca. 500 atlassen. Zij bestaat grotendeels uit topografisch kaartmateriaal van het grondgebied van het huidige Indonesië, Suriname, de Nederlandse Antillen en Zuidoost-Azië uit de negentiende en twintigste eeuw. De collectie is sinds 2014 in bruikleen gegeven door Vereniging KITLV.

The collection of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) comprises c. 16,000 map sheets and c. 500 atlases. It largely contains topographical maps from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the territory of present-day Indonesia, Suriname, the Dutch Antilles and Southeast Asia. Since 2014 the collection is on loan from the KITLV Learned Society.
