De collectie van ca. 200 kaartbladen heeft vrijwel uitsluitend betrekking op het Caraïbisch gebied en de Nederlandse Antillen. De collectie is verzameld door bioloog H.E. Coomans en zijn tweede echtgenote M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, bibliothecaris van de Universiteit van de Nederlandse Antillen.

The collection of ca. 200 map sheets is almost exclusively concerned with the Caribbean and the Netherlands Antilles. The collection is gathered by biologist H.E. Coomans and his second wife M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, librarian of the University of the Netherlands Antilles.

Het Immigratiefonds Suriname is in 1878 opgericht om immigranten uit Brits- en Nederlands-Indië te werven. De collectie bestaat uit registers, concepten en kopieën van de correspondentie van het gouvernement en de procureur-generaal, kasboeken van het fonds en een verzameling wetten voor de kolonie Suriname.

The Immigration fund Surinam was established in 1878 to recruit immigrants from the British and Dutch East Indies. The collection contains registers, concepts and copies of correspondence of the government and attorney general of Surinam, the cash books of the funds and a collection of laws of the colony Surinam.

J.P. Pfeiffer (1888-1947) werkte als ingenieur voor verschillende houtmaatschappijen in Nederlands-Indië, waaronder de Verenigde Indisch Bosch-Exploitatie Maatschappijen. In 1927 werd hij door de Nederlandse regering bovendien aangesteld om een reis naar Suriname te maken om de gouverneur te adviseren over houtaangelegenheden. Zijn archief bestaat uit stukken met betrekking tot de Verenigde Indisch Bosch-Exploitatie Maatschappijen en zijn bezoek aan Suriname.

J.P. Pfeiffer (1888-1947) worked as engineer for various timber companies, among which the United Indian Forest Exploitation Companies. In 1927 he was appointed to make a journey to Surinam to advise the governor about forest exploitation. His archive contains documents concerning the United Indian Forest Exploitation Companies and his visit to Surinam.
