Het archief bevat stukken met betrekking tot de ambtelijke loopbaan van Gerard Louwrens Tichelman (1893-1962) op de Molukken, Sumatra en Borneo stukken en correspondentie behorende bij zijn publicistische arbeid en stukken samenhangend met het lidmaatschap van diverse organisaties, zoals Rijkseenheid-organisaties, Nieuw-Guinea-organisaties en Stichting Door de Eeuwen Trouw.

The archive contains material concerning Gerard Louwrens Tichelman’s (1893-1962) colonial administrative career on the Moluccas, Sumatra and Borneo, journalistic essays written by Tichelman and documents related to Tichelman’s membership of various organizations such as the so-called Rijkseenheid organizations, organizations involved in New Guinea and the association named Stichting Door de Eeuwen Trouw.

Archief en collectie van Cornelis Petrus Tiele (1830-1902), Leids hoogleraar algemene godsdienstgeschiedenis. Het archief bestaat uit persoonlijke stukken, correspondentie en teksten van verhandelingen en lezingen en overdrukken van artikelen betreffende de geschiedenis van godsdiensten uit het oude oosten. De collectie omvat ca. 1800 gedrukte werken uit het bezit van Tiele en ca. 1500 gedrukte werken sinds 1902 aangeschaft met geld van de Tiele-Stiching.

Archive and collection of Cornelis Petrus Tiele (1830-1902), professor of history of religion at Leiden University. The archive contains personal papers, correspondence and texts of writings and lectures, and article offprints regarding the history of ancient eastern religions. The collection comprises c. 1800 printed works owned by Tiele and c. 1500 printed works bought since 1902 with money from the Tiele Foundation.

Carel Tirion collection
Carel Tirion (1905-1993) was een fotograaf die zijn vakkennis in dienst stelde van wetenschappelijke fotografie en onderwijs. Zijn opdrachten noodzaakten hem diverse fototechnische instrumenten en methoden te ontwikkelen. Tevens was hij als een van de leidende personen verantwoordelijk voor het opzetten en ontwikkelen van het Nederlandse fotovakonderwijs.

Photographer Carel Tirion (1905-1993) served with his professional knowledge the scientific photography and education. His commissioned work challenged him to be inventive and he developed various phototechnical instruments and methods. Tirion was also responsable for the creation and development of photography education in the Netherlands.

Internationally unique collection of unofficial or "underground" poetry publications that play an important role in contemporary Chinese culture, comparable to Soviet-Russian samizdat publications, but also to the "little magazines" often associated with early modernism in the West. The collection, brought together by Maghiel van Crevel (1963- ), contains early specimens from the late 1970s and the 1980s and extends to the early 21st century.
