Middeleeuwse handschriften (25 banden) en oude drukken (31 banden), meest met Middelnederlandse teksten, verzameld door de Amsterdamse regent en taalkundige Z.H. Alewijn. De collectie werd in 1788 gelegateerd aan de Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde.

Medieval manuscripts (25 volumes) and printed books (31 volumes), mostly containing Middle Dutch texts, collected by Z.H. Alewijn, an Amsterdam magistrate and philologist. The collection was bequeathed to the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde (Society of Dutch Literature) in 1788.

504 boeken aangekocht uit J.C. Bloems nalatenschap door de Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde (MNL). De collectie bevat onder meer ca. 90 bibliofiele werken (Palladium, Zilverdistel) en belangrijke literaire werken uit de eerste helft van de twintigste eeuw, vele met opdracht. Ook de UB zelf kocht een aantal, niet bijeen geplaatste werken, waaronder werk van onder meer Bloem zelf en Stefan George en wat Ierse letterkunde.

504 books acquired from the bequest of the poet J.C. Bloem to the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde (MNL). The collection contains ca. 90 bibliophile editions (Palladium, Ziverdistel) and important editions of literary works from the first half of the twentieth century, many of which contain assignments to the author. The University Library has also bought several works, amongst which works by Bloem, Stefan George and some Irish literature.

The archive was created by the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde, an association which aims to support the practice of literature and the study of Dutch literature, linguistics, history and their mutual relations. The archive spans the period 1766-2000 and is 17 metres in length, supplement: c. 10 metre.

De Werkgroep Indisch-Nederlandse Letterkunde is in 1986 opgericht en heeft als doelstelling de studie naar de literatuur van en over Nederlands-Indië te bevorderen. De werkgroep geeft een tijdschrift, Indische Letteren, uit en organiseert symposia en lezingenmiddagen. Het archief bestaat uit correspondentie van de werkgroep en de redactie van Indische Letteren, notulen van redactievergaderingen, stukken betreffende overige activiteiten en stukken van enkele redactieleden.

The Workgroup Indonesian-Dutch Literature was founded in 1986. Its objective is to promote the study of literature from and about the Dutch East Indies. The workgroup has a magazine, Indische Letteren, and organizes symposia and lectures. The archive contains correspondence of the workgroup and the editors of Indische Letteren, minutes of the meetings of the editors, documents concerning other activities and documents of some individual editors.
