Het archief Rudolf Aernoud Kern (1875-1958) bestaat uit documenten die betrekking hebben op zijn loopbaan als bestuursambtenaar op Java. Ook omvat het archief stukken van Kern met betrekking tot zijn functies binnen Nederland, als lector en als adviseur voor Inlandse zaken. Naast documenten omtrent Kern’s loopbaan, zijn er ook stukken uit het oud-archief Modjokerto opgenomen.

Documents on his position in the Netherlands as lecturer and as consultant for Domestic affairs are part of the archive as well.
