Collection gathered by David Ruhnkenius (1723-1798), professor of History, Eloquence and Greek language at Leiden University form 1761 to 1798, and librarian of the Leiden University Library from 1777 to 1798. The collection contains ca. 1,850 printed books and 112 manuscripts (65 Greek) on Greek philosophy and grammar, with commentary on classical authors, and with lecture notes.
