Collectie van kartografisch materiaal (atlassen, kaarten), topografische prenten en tekeningen en portretten die door J.T. Bodel Nijenhuis (1797-1872) werden gelegateerd aan de Universiteitsbibliotheek Leiden en, voor een deel van de portretten, aan de Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde.

De collectie van ca. 200 kaartbladen heeft vrijwel uitsluitend betrekking op het Caraïbisch gebied en de Nederlandse Antillen. De collectie is verzameld door bioloog H.E. Coomans en zijn tweede echtgenote M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, bibliothecaris van de Universiteit van de Nederlandse Antillen.

The collection of ca. 200 map sheets is almost exclusively concerned with the Caribbean and the Netherlands Antilles. The collection is gathered by biologist H.E. Coomans and his second wife M.V. Coomans-Eustatia, librarian of the University of the Netherlands Antilles.

De collectie bestaat uit 343 Nederlandse schoolatlassen uit de 19e en 20e eeuw, verzameld door C. Koeman, van 1968 tot 1981 hoogleraar cartografie te Utrecht.

The collection consists of 343 Dutch school atlases from the 19th and 20th centuries, collected by C. Koeman who was professor of cartography in Utrecht from 1968 to 1981.

De kaartcollectie van het Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde (KITLV) omvat ca. 16.000 kaartbladen en ca. 500 atlassen. Zij bestaat grotendeels uit topografisch kaartmateriaal van het grondgebied van het huidige Indonesië, Suriname, de Nederlandse Antillen en Zuidoost-Azië uit de negentiende en twintigste eeuw. De collectie is sinds 2014 in bruikleen gegeven door Vereniging KITLV.

The collection of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) comprises c. 16,000 map sheets and c. 500 atlases. It largely contains topographical maps from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the territory of present-day Indonesia, Suriname, the Dutch Antilles and Southeast Asia. Since 2014 the collection is on loan from the KITLV Learned Society.
