De Collectie Documentatie Fotografie verzamelt materiaal over individuele fotografen en de geschiedenis van de fotografie, vooral in Nederland. De collectie omvat knipsels (artikelen uit kranten en tijdschriften), uitnodigingskaarten voor tentoonstellingen, correspondentie, aantekeningen van fotografen, archiefmateriaal van verenigingen, etc. De documentatie is bijeengebracht door het Prentenkabinet van de (Rijks-)Universiteit Leiden, vanaf 2002 aangevuld door de afdeling fotografie van de Universiteitsbibliotheek Leiden.

The Photograpy Documentation Collection brings together materials concerning photographers and the history of photography, mainly in the Netherlands. The collection consists of cuttings (articles from newspapers and journals), invitations for exhibitions, correspondence, notes by photographers, archival records, etc. The documentation is gathered by the Print Room of Leiden University, from 2002 by the Photography Department of Leiden University Library.
